We’re very excited to work on this drama as this will be our first joined project – a collaboration with Fighting! Fansubs. This will be a big challenge to us as this is our first collaboration project, so both groups hope to bring you High Quality subtitles with our joined efforts!

Project Background: (credits to debbieleung @ soompi.com)

A three-member idol girl group, HershE, transfers into Kirin Arts High School. The popular idol group has to team up with another boy group in school, I:dn. This drama shows how students of different backgrounds collaborate together and overcome challenges to achieve success. In Season Two, Kirin has fallen from its top arts academy status into dire financial straits and is in danger of closing.

Who are the cast of the drama?

Dream High is known to cast many idols and young and uprising actors. In season 2AM’s Jin Woon plays Jin Yoo Jin, a mischievous student who dreams of becoming a rock star. Kang So Ra (Dr. Champ, The Women of Our Home) plays Shin Hye Sung, a poor student who learned music through reading guide books. T-ara’s Park Ji Yeon (Soul, God of Study, Jungle Fish 2) plays Lian, a vocalist in the girl group HershE. She dreams of becoming an actress rather than a singer but lacks the talent in acting. This will be SISTAR’s main vocalist Hyo Rin acting debut and she plays Nana, the leader and lead vocalist of the popular girl group HershE. She is a broad-minded and cheerful girl that has a hidden secret. Also, Park Seo Joon plays Si Woo, a member of the male duo I:dn that is enrolled in Kirin. He is an attractive idol star who knows how to make female fans’ hearts flutter.

Two strangers meet, fall in love and get married. After they have settled into married life, however, they face numerous marriage problems. Couples start to wonder why they even get married at the first place and think about divorce lamenting “I didn’t get married to live like this!’ But, shortly, you think of your parents who have managed to save their marriage for 40, 50 years. Why are the marital relationships of young generation more likely to break down easily? Are we too smart? Are we impatient? Or is it the way it should be in modern society? Tons of married couples visit family courts to break their vows, while numerous young people go on a date to find Mr. Right. . People do divorce at a huge rate nowadays and some think marriage is dead. However, lots of people still get married because they believe in this traditional institution. In this drama, high school vice president Kim and his 4 children struggle to resolve their marriage problems and towards the end they learn how to save their marriage.

We would like to express our gratitude to all of you who have been waiting patiently for the release of our subtitles to enjoy their favourite Kdramas with. We are very thankful for the continuous support with which we were able to complete 25 projects successfully. As many of you who have waited to watch Daemul with our high quality English subtitles, the release of the subtitles has slowed down tremendously and we have received questions whether we have dropped this drama. The following decision was a tough one for the admin board to come to and we hope that you’ll give it your full understanding.

This is the first time we won’t be able to finish subbing a drama until the very end, but we decided to release the subtitles for Daemul up till episode 12 and release the subtitles for Sign up till episode 10. You’ll be able to find the rest of the subtitles for Daemul on CTS’s site (not further edited), which will be listed below the subtitles already realeased by Haru2subS. We hope you’ll understand our decision as we wish the best for both dramas. Sadly, right now we really lack the manpower, and considering the difficulty of the dramas’ medical terminology and political terms, this sought out decision, at this point in time, we feel is for the best.

We will soon release Episode 12 of Daemul and Episodes 1-10 of Sign.

Girin arts High School is a prestigious school which trains students how to dance and sing. The director and 4 fellow teachers operate the school and they are strict teachers who never overlook students being neglecting and not practicing. Song Sam-Dong lives in the country side and dreams of becoming an owner of a stock farm. However, after he falls in love with Go Hye-Mi at first sight, he follows her to Girin Arts High School. There, he discovers his musical talent and strives to become a world-class singer. Jin-Gook is a gifted dancer, but a troublesome kid. He has grown up rebelling against authority but the director sees the potential in him and encourages Jin-Gook to enroll in the school. There, Jin-Gook’s talent blossoms and he’s now eager to become a global star. Go Hye-mi is the most popular girl at Girin Arts High School who wants to be a world renowned soprano. She looks like a confident girl but she is hiding pain and sadness behind her proud smile as her family falls into debt. She is loved by both Jin-gook and Sam-dong. Students, with all different charms and personalities, meet at Girin Arts High School, where they slowly pour their hearts out to each other, and become friends…or for some of them, lovers.. Follow the lives of these students who struggle to become a world star at “Dream High”.
