Official recruitment post for our upcoming project, the new weekend series that replaced Style in SBS,”Smile, You”.

Another recruitment post. We’re very excited to work on this drama. Despite the fact that the drama may possibly be 50+ episodes, we still have to do it because the drama synopsis is interesting, cast is full of chemistry. Such great drama with those kinds shouldn’t be left un-subbed, right? This will be a big challenge to us, since we’re a new subbing team, the longest we’ve worked on so far was Brilliant Legacy, and it was successful! This time, we hope to bring you High Quality subtitles! We’re very glad also that we’re starting to move onto the airing dramas and we were able to finish the dramas we’ve picked up before that were aired back then. All because of your patience and support! A little background on what the drama will be about.

Project Background: (credits to javabeans)

In the story, Lee Min-jung is the daughter in a rich chaebol household, while Lee Chun-hee is her immature older brother. When her family meets with financial ruin, she’s dumped by her former fiancé (Lee Kyu-han) until he decides he wants her back. Meanwhile, she and her family move in with their former chauffeur, played by Gourmet’s veteran chef Choi Bool-am. The ex-chauffeur now runs an auto center with his son (Chun Ho-jin of Job Well Done), who is married to Song Ok-sook (Beethoven Virus’s nervous cellist). The two families struggle to adjust to living together, making for lots of bickering but also warm family moments and laughs.

What positions do you need?

The position most needed is a Spot Translator (must be fluent in Korean), since Spot Translations are the ones we hardly need. But of course, Chinese Translators, Timers and Editors are needed also. You’ll be enjoying your stay with us! Not only you’ll have the chance to communicate with our members, but you’ll be enjoying the bonding we have and the friendship we now have. Every Haru2subS member is friendly. One of the most important things everyone has to practice.

Who are the cast of the drama?

I’m sure everyone knows the female lead, non other than the cute and jolly girl who played Geum Jan Di’s rival in Boys Over Flower is Lee Min Jung. We’re looking forward with her bubbly acting on how she will portray her character as Seo Jung In. And the male lead is the actor who was last seen in Ja Myung Go, non other than, Jung Kyung Ho. The two when seen together has great chemistry.

I’m hoping that no one here still isn’t tired with the story about a rich family getting bankrupt. (Brilliant Legacy?) Everyone loves to watch family having problems with money, I know that almost everyone can relate because of the recession nowadays.

   @ hj…

   A translator will work on the whole episode & translate every line of dialogue into the desired language, with Haru that is into English.

   A spot translator will fill in any missed ’spots’ i.e. lines or words that the original translator had problems with.

   what exactly does a spot translator do? how is that work different from a translator’s?
