Dear everybody, problem solved, I think the problem is in safari when I save as the file name is .srt but then it would be saved as .srt.txt, the .txt always come out even I changed the name name. Finally I download using the Firefox and it was no problem at all. I am going to watch the movie. thanks to you..

@Lina: also you could try Control and Click of your mouse/ Choose on Safari to “Save Linked File to Desktop” or “Save Linked File As…”/ If you click on the latter, you will be able to just erase the “.txt” from the Subtitle name in the “Export As:” field before clicking on “Save”

@Lina: Try just taking off the .txt suffix and leaving it as .srt… and just as leejsa was explaining, it will ask “Are you sure you want to change the extension from “.txt” to “.srt”?/ have choice to click “keep .txt” or “use .srt”/ click on “use .srt”

I tried using Safari and Firefox. I only had the .txt suffix come up with Safari… try a different browser if one is available on your Mac.

Hi, I did as you told me, but the file was saved in the folder as TOTALLY.txt, there was nothing appear to ask anything. I am also on Mac.

Lina - you overwrite the file name yourself & RENAME the file TOTALLY. So when you 'save as' and rename the file minus the .txt suffix, a box/screen should be displayed with a notification something along the lines of... The name “Queen.of.Housewives.E12.KOR.090421.HDTV.XviD-Ental.Haru2subS.VERSION2.srt” appears to have an extension. Do you want to append “.txt” to the name? See - I've rename the file to just the .srt suffix, so you say NO, DON'T APPEND. The 'wording may be slightly different to the above (as I'm on a MAC & this is what my system displays) but all in all, it still means the same - so select No or DON'T APPEND - okay?

Hi Leesja, I have tried to do as you said but those files still were saved with suffix .txt. I managed to download episode 18 with .srt only but for episode 12, 19 and 20 suffix .txt were still there. Thank u for your help.

Lina… try re-downloading these 3 sub files causing the problem (trash the first downloads). Then save the files as .srt – so for example… QOF.E12.srt / QOF.E19.srt / QOF.E20.srt or whatever you have named your raw video files – & forget about the .txt prefix – okay? Just the .srt Let me know how you go.

Thanks for your reply Leesja, that was what I did for other episodes but for episode 12, 19 and 20 when I download those files are save with title.srt.txt then the substitle wont load into the movie. I think the problem is suffix .txt, do you have files without suffix .txt. Thank you.

You don’t do anything different at all – you do not need to cut & past anything. Just follow these instructions. So,step by step…
1. download the subtitle – right click & save as (for example) QOF.E12.srt (or QOF.E12.srt.txt – either will work)
2. download the corresponding video (if not already done) – make sure it is the same version – HAN video with HAN sub – ENTAL video with ENTAL sub. Name it EXACTLY the same as the sub for example, QOF.E12.avi (NOTE different suffix – .avi is a video file)
Place BOTH files in the SAME folder.
4. Open video with your player & the sub will automatically load & play.

Hi, I have encounter problem in epi 12, 18, 19, 20. What to do if the file is sustitle.srt.txt, how to copy and paste the title into the substitle. I have tried title.srt or title.srt.txt or title.txt.srt but all didnot work. Thanks, really appreciate the answer as I am watching and cannot wait to know the ending. Thanks.
