Hi Cathrine, My VSO tech says that my video encoder ConvertX4to DVD does accept ASS files. Do you use this software, Aegisub and are the subbing results as good as Srt files? If you do use it do you convert all srt files to ass files? Thanks alot for your help!! etquon
If your video encoder handles ASS subtitles, then it is best to use that format. For converting from SRT to ASS, I recommend the following steps : 1. In Aegisub, go to Video > Open Video. 2. Select the AVI file (like : Gloria24.avi). 3. Go to File > Open Subtitles. 4. Select the corresponding SRT file (like : Gloria24.srt). If Aegisub asks you something, select “No”. 5. Go to File > Save Subtitles As, and that’s it !
