Girin arts High School is a prestigious school which trains students how to dance and sing. The director and 4 fellow teachers operate the school and they are strict teachers who never overlook students being neglecting and not practicing. These talented, strict teachers have produced majority of stars and now they are waiting for new students to cultivate. This year, a group of special kids enter into the school. Song Sam-Dong lives in the country side and dreams of becoming an owner of a stock farm. However, after he falls in love with Go Hye-Mi at first sight, he follows her to Girin Arts High School. There, he discovers his musical talent and strives to become a world-class singer. Jin-Gook is a gifted dancer, but a troublesome kid. He has grown up rebelling against authority but the director sees the potential in him and encourages Jin-Gook to enroll in the school. There, Jin-Gook’s talent blossoms and he’s now eager to become a global star. Go Hye-mi is the most popular girl at Girin Arts High School who wants to be a world renowned soprano. She looks like a confident girl but she is hiding pain and sadness behind her proud smile as her family falls into debt. She is loved by both Jin-gook and Sam-dong. Students, with all different charms and personalities, meet at Girin Arts High School, where they slowly pour their hearts out to each other, and become friends…or for some of them, lovers.. Follow the lives of these students who struggle to become a world star at “Dream High”.

sorry for being annoying but, i’ve done all of what you’ve said above and its worked for all episodes 1-15. episode 16 and the special concert SUBS don’t work when i play them :/

Can i know why the subtitle for Ep. 16 cannot be played together with Hanrel raw video? i downloaded the file (800MB) from D-addict.. or should i use other file with different size?

You’ve downloaded the right video version and the subtitles. Now you have to re-name the subitlte file EXACTLY the same EXCEPT for the suffix – the video will have .avi / the sub .srt

Place BOTH files in the SAME folder – and when you open the video file in your media player, the subs will automatically display.

Open your video file Dream High 16.avi in a media player and open the subtitles through the player (Open/Load-> Subtitles) – Dream High 16.srt. Simply hit the play button and enjoy.

i have downloaded the raw videos on mkv format including the specials. will these subtitles work?

It depends on the encoding of the videos, not the format. If it’s XViD HANrel, then it will work. If it’s 480p MKV, 720p MKV or other, it won’t and you’ll need to re-sync your subtitles. For more informtation on how to do that see my posts below. Good luck!

Hey, just wanna to ask.. when i download the rar file from mediafire and extract it.. there’s only filename.srt .. any converter that can convert from srt to mp4? cause the one i found needs the original file which is in avi format.

I think there is no way to convert a srt file to mp4, because the srt file is a type of text file and the avi – a video format. So there is no possible way to do that… You need to download the avi video file to convert to mp4 and the srt files to watch with our subtitles. I hope this answers your question.

Thanks a lot,my episode 16(800 MB Hanrel version) doesn’t take the subtitle at all…i have all the eps in one folder and the subtitle as well and they have the same name,the other ones are fine

Okay, you can try a few things: make sure you have re-named the files, put them in the same folder and they have exactly the same names (only their suffixes should be .srt and .avi).
Or you can check out if your player needs a codec (go to their website & look @ their FAQ section). OR you can load your subtiles in BS player: Load subtitles > Ctrl+L. Then let us know if you still have problems.

Please read the FAQ page before posting a comment. Your question might have already been answered there. You can also see through previous comments on this page.
I assume you have downloaded the right video version corresponding to our subs – the HANrel one. Now you have 2 options:
1) As J2 has explained in details:
* you will need a media player to play the drama episode. There are many out there – vlc, quicktime, gom, mediaplayer, etc… suggest you google ‘media player’ & check which you like, which plays with your pc or mac. It’s up to you. Before you download one, check to see if your computer already has one in your Applications folder.
* You may also need a codec to go with the player which enables the video file to be played. So if you do go to d-addicts.com & check out their technical section here: http://d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_59952.htm OR again, you can google. Sometimes the site where you download the media player from has codec packs to download.
* You will need a ‘raw’ video – that is a video of the Korean released episode of the drama you wish to see, in this case it’s Dream High. There are links of where to go to download these right above the first subtitles download link.
When you have all of the above sorted out, you download the subtitle, name it EXACTLY the same EXCEPT for the suffix – the video will have .avi / the sub .srt

Place BOTH files in the SAME folder – and when you open the video file in your media player, the subs will automatically display.
