Eun Sung (Han Hyo Joo) was a kind-hearted girl who has everything, a loving father, a rich and happy family. But her step-mom, Baek Sung Hee (Kim Mi Sook) took away all her properities upon the death of her father (in a case of mistaken identity) and forced her to fend for herself while raising her real daughter ‘Seung Mi’ (Moon Chae Won) with great care. Luckily for Eun Sung who has a talent in cooking, she was accepted to a food company ‘Honey combs’ which is owned by the SunWoo family .But things are to get compilcated for her when she starts working for them as both SunWoo Hwan (Lee Seung Gi), the successor to the food company and Park Jun Se (Bae Soo Bin), a Fusion restaurant owner with an upcoming arranged marriage to Woo Hwan’s younger sister “Woo Jung” (Han Ye Won) get attracted to her. i watched the drama, inshort i love it. it was air by a Nigerian popular television net work (AIT) AFRICA INDEPENDENT TELEVISION . Unfortunately they stopped on episode 24. please how can i download the remaining episode, and get the full DVD
i’m having problem with the subs for my ipad. the subs appeared for the 1st 10 mins then it didn’t appear anymore. im using the oplayer app and so far this is the only one that i had problem with. the rest of the subs for other dramas were ok. any idea why or did u receive similar feedback? what can i do? watching the drama on pc is ok, the subs did appear but i wanna watch on my ipad on the go! pls help!

Okay, so does this apply for all the subtitles or only for a particular one? Maybe there are some options in your player or some problem with the codecs/video format, etc. We haven’t received a similar enquiry so far and sadly, I haven’t used apple products, so I think it’s better to visit the player’s FAQ section and post your questions there. I hope you’ll resolve it soon and enjoy this drama.

No, we have removed our hardsubs because of copyright problems. The softsubs are just as good.
The subs on this whole drama should be edited. The grammar is really bad and some of the translations are wrong.

I’m korean, but i was raised in america speaking mainly english so thats why i use subs (so i need subs for those every so often things i don’t understand). ‘
The whole drama as a whole has many errors in grammar and a decent amount of error in the translations. Like i saw in a past comment, episode 7 was very terrible in grammar and translation. This episode is one example.
Also many of the episodes vocabulary switches around. I can’t think of an example right now, but the translation for a certain word is changed around many times. I feel as though this could take on a different meaning each time and may confuse non korean viewers.
I have been a spot translator for some dramas so i know its difficult, but i feel like this drama as a whole was incredibly rushed and not well looked over. I can watch the drama and fill the holes and correct the wrong translations in my head, but to non-korean viewers this might be incredibly challenging and also the grammar could be very annoying to some people.
Sorry I know this is a lot, but i just though I would let you guys know.

why are you in adobe??? The file just needs to be saved as a text file – not an adobe file – that’s why it won’t work.
So, if your on a PC save it in Notepad / if on a MAC save in Text Edit.
And then follow the suggestions of saving files with the different suffixes & place all files in the one folder.
Check if your media player need whats called a codec (see d-addicts.com for explanation or just go to the media player site – VLC & Gom are good players. Then let me know
I tried adding the suffix, but it still doesn’t work with adobe and when I tried .avi to open in windows media.. it doesn’t work either

Instead of ‘Save’ go to ‘Save as’ and then you will have the option of saving it as a .srt file – all you have to do is retype a new name in for the file, so for example… Brilliant.Legacy.ep01 and add the suffix of .srt (Oh, and make sure you video file is named EXACTLY the same EXCEPT for the suffix… .avi for the video file)
So you will end up with Brilliant.Legacy.ep01.avi ~and~ Brilliant.Legacy.ep01.srt

When searching remember that Brilliant Legacy 찬란한 유산 – is also known as Shining Inheritance.
well, i have downloaded the video in avi format, then i converted to mp4 format because my computer couldn’t open in avi format. and then i followed the instruction to name the mp4 video and the subtittle file with the same. but when i played the video, there was still no subtittle there. or it can be done if using avi video only? what should i do? pls help. i do love this drama very much.. thanks

what platform are you using? MAC or PC? Which player do you have? Does it need a codec?
How was you subtitle file renamed. Is the suffix just .srt OR .txt OR .srt.txt. I don’t often use this format, but when I have I found that for mp4 (on my MAC) if the sub is not named just .srt (& not .txt OR .srt.txt) it doesn’t play. Try this first, if that doesn’t work check out if your player needs a codec (go to their website & look @ their FAQ section). Let me know how you go.
Also, d-addicts.com has a great technical section in their forum – maybe someone else has had the same issue – you never know – it’s worth a look.

v2 = a revised version of the original subtitles file. Perhaps some timing was off, perhaps some translation/dialogue has been amended, maybe lyrics have been translated & added in. Could be any number of things

you don’t need to ‘open’ the files at all. You don’t need a ‘special’ program to view the subs. Just name the first part of your raw video file & the subtitle file THE SAME – EXACTLY the same except for the ending/suffix. So, you will have -
Brilliant_Legacy_ep01.avi ~ and ~ Brilliant_Legacy_ep01.srt
When you go to open & play the video in your player, the subs will automatically display.
Oh, btw… .srt is a file format for subtitles. Suggest if you want to learn about all the other different type of subtitle formats, you google. Lots of info out there!

Hello, Haru2Subs. Brilliant Legacy is the drama through which I know your group. Thank you for providing subtitles for this series. I’m still in the middle of watching this series and I like it so far.
I have something to tell you, though. It might have been long time ago since you guys subbed this series, but I think I still need to share this. I admit I was disappointed with your subtitle for episode 7. Compared to the subtitles for previous episodes, the subtitle for episode 7 was the worst. It seemed as if it was not checked well. Many words were placed wrong and some sentences were quite hard to be understood.
I don’t mean to insult you by saying this. I am an editor of a fansub group, so I know that editing or proofreading is quite an exhausting job. Nevertheless I wish you will still keep up the good quality of your subtitles. You have achieved a good name through subtitles you have done; don’t let the qualities down and disappoint the viewers. Maintaining a good service is always the hard part, much harder than achieving it, that I understand.
I wish you guys good luck with your next project. I just hope that you will take my opinion into consideration for better services. Thank you very much for your attention!

Brilliant Legacy/Shining Inheritance was one of our first k-dramas to be subbed – airing in April 2009, just a couple of months after we started in the fansubbing Community. Since then, we have completed 16 dramas and with each one, have improved our techniques. We indeed try to live up to (and with every release, better) our reputation of providing good quality subtitles.
Yes, I can agree with you that producing subtitles is a very exhausting job and that sometimes things can slip through – I’m sure as an editor yourself you can understand that this can happen.
Please enjoy the rest of the episodes; I unfortunately have not been able to watch this excellent drama (saved onto my hard drive for a rainy day!) – though I’m hoping perhaps this Christmas!

what can’t you download? The sub?? Just open the link for which episode you want then save the file. These instructions are also on the FAQ page (tab at top of page)
If you have problems with downloading a raw video file, then you will have to contact the admins of that site regarding problems with downloading.

@cuppieeee, can you make sure that your version is ENTAL and not any other? Since Episode 10 sync perfectly with ENTAL only.
I have seen this drama. Personally I think that it is Bae Soo Bin who should have had the lead. The other guy was just a bit weak and did not fit the role. The plot could have been a bit better too. Maybe that is the reason the drama did not rank as well as it should have. Anyway what do I know?????
